Tom J. Wilson 86, a kind, loving husband, father, and grandfather departed from this life on Friday September 16, 2022.
Tom served our country for four years in the United States Army. On completion of his Army duty, he married Diane Edmonds Wilson, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with one daughter and four sons.
Tom worked at Bountiful Dairy and drove trucks for several different companies. He retired from Sam’s Club.
Tom in the last few days of his life felt the presence of his wife Diane who had proceeded him in death.
Tom was born to Mable C. Wilson and Tom J Wilson, loving parents and had five sisters Virginia Hammel, Myrtle Norton, Dorothy Smith, Margaret Wilson, Patricia Wilson, and three brothers Richard Wilson, Wayne Wilson, and Kenny Wilson. He was proceeded in death by his son Tom B. Wilson, several siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tom is survived by one daughter, Denise Wilson (Wendie), three sons, Gordon Wilson (Debbie), Darren Wilson (Jennifer), Gary Brent Wilson and sisters Margaret and Patricia Wilson. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After Diane’s passing Tom lived with his son Darren and daughter-in-law Jennifer in Ogden, Utah. Later lived in Layton in the loving care of his granddaughter Angela (Taylor) and great granddaughter Elizabeth whom he adored until he passed away.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lindquist Layton Mortuary 1867 N Fairfield Rd., Layton. Friends may visit family Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery following funeral.
