Tomeka Michelle Ellington

Tomeka Michelle Porter Ellington was born April 24, 1973 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the proud parents, Wanda Crowder and Robert Porter. She gained her heavenly wings on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee

Tomeka accepted Christ as her Personal Savior at an early age. She believed in putting God first in every thing she did.

Tomeka was educated in the Clarksville Montgomery County Schools graduating from Carksville High School in the Class of 1991.

Tomeka was married to the love of her life Shannon Ellington on January 14, 2013. Tomeka was employed by The Trane Company for the last several years. She touched many lives and gained a plethora of loving friends.

In her spare time Tomeka loved listening to music but what she enjoyed more than anything was spending her time supporting and attending all her children’s activities. In addition, Meka loved watching NBA basketball. Especially the Los Angeles Lakers as she was a dedicated fan of her favorite player, Lebron James.

Tomeka was greeted in heaven by stepfather, Ernest Crowder Jr; grandparents Myles and Annie Hall, grandmother Margaret Porter; and grandfather Arthur Lee Bailey.

Tomeka leaves to cherish her memory, husband Shannon Ellington; daughter, Brionna Johnson; sons, Bre’Von Johnson and Bryson Ellington. She further leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Wanda Crowder; father, Robert (Teresa) Porter; brother, Robert (Ericka) Porter Jr; sisters, Nicole (Shawn) Dowlen, Amber (Jerald) Harding, Ashley (Garland) Crowder, Amelia Ogburn; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous friends.
