Dwight Allsep,73, husband of Dianne Allsep, of Westminster, died peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Cottingham Hospice House, surrounded by his family.
A native of Oconee County, Mr. Allsep was the son of the late Tommy and Margaret Allsep. He was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. Mr. Allsep was a retired electrician. He was employed by Duke Power at the Bad Creek Project from initial construction until completion. His favorite occupation was being a stay-at-home Grandpa to his grandchildren in retirement. Mr. Allsep was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors. When not exploring the outdoors, he could often be found with a good book in hand, enjoying quiet moments of reading and reflection, especially with the Bible.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, Mr. Allsep is survived by his daughters: Heather Cummings (Joe) and Joy Wilson (Dan); brother: Danny Allsep (Cindy); grandchildren: Jacob Wilson, Elijah Wilson, and Ivy Wilson; and many special cousins and lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Davenport Funeral Home in West Union, SC, and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, following the visitation in the Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.
Flowers are accepted.
