TOMMY DEAN BASS

DOTHAN… Tommy Dean Bass, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at a Dothan hospital. He was 70.

 Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Jason Harris officiating. Eulogies will be given by his grandson, Jonathon Spencer Bass; his friends, Larry Skeen and Tommy Tolleson. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

 Mr. Bass was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late William (Bill) Green Bass and Betty Jean Sellers Bass. He was a 1972 graduate of Headland High School and also 1976 graduate of Troy University. He worked for over forty-five years with United Parcel Service (UPS). He was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Dothan.

 Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, William (Butch) Bass and Timothy Paul Bass; his sister-in-law, Nancy Watson Adams; and his brother-in-law, Danny Adams.

 Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Jerrie Lynn Watson Bass; their son, Matthew Frank Bass (Jamie); their grandson, Jonathon Spencer Bass; his sisters, Diane Bass Killingsworth (Russell) and Marianne Bass Jones (Roy); his brother, James Larry Bass; his sisters-in-law, Lanetha Bass, Terri Bass, and Kathy Watson Boswell (Danny); his brother-in-law, Thomas Issac Watson; his special friend, David Pillow; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Serving as active pallbearers will be Paul Jones, Wyatt Jones, Cody Tillis, Stetson Tillis, Danny Boswell, and Roy Jones. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Larry Skeen and Tommy Tolleson.
