I am Tommy's cousin on his dad's side. For you, his siblings, you might remember me as living in the valley, near Attica. I so well remember the summers when Tommy and you girls came down from Des Moines and spent a couple of weeks with us. My older brother Larry and Tommy would play together. One summer the boys were jumping out of a tree and landing on an old mattress. Larry fell wrong and broke his arm. The following week the boys built a fort in the ground. The soil was damp and chilly, so they built a fire and had gasoline in it. It exploded and both boys suffered burns. Those crazy boys! Thankfully, most summers were uneventful and filled with pleasant and fun cousin times. My memories of those long ago summers are vivid still. We always enjoyed having Tommy and you girls spend a few weeks of your summer with us, and I think you all enjoyed getting out of the city and experiencing life in the country. My sincerest condolences to you as you grieve Tommy's passing. Donna Williamson Mueller
