Tommy Gene Hounshell

Tommy Gene Hounshell, 49, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. He was born on September 1, 1976, in Big Spring, Texas.
Tommy was the proud father of two daughters, Harlei Ann Simpson of Pueblo, Colorado and Stella Summer Rose Hounshell of Greeley, Colorado, who were the lights of his life. He is survived by his loving mother, Reba Quillen of Waco,Texas, and stepfather, Larry Quillen of Hot Springs, South Dakota; his sisters, Krista Quillen and her fiancé David Silber of Buena Vista, Colorado; Sara McCall and her husband Eric McCall of Big Spring, Texas; as well as Rebecka Edwards and her husband Weldon Edwards of Waco, Texas. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who adored him dearly.
A true nature lover, Tommy found peace among the trees and had a deep respect for all living things. He was a beekeeper, a wolf protection advocate, and a strong voice for forest conservation. Those who knew him will remember his stubborn streak just as fondly as his enormous heart. He was kind, loving, and endlessly adventurous.
Above all, Stella was his world, and his love for her was immeasurable. A celebration of life and tree ceremony will be announced at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor the life of this gentle soul who loved fiercely and lived freely.
