Tommy "Cotton" Richardson

Mr. Tommy “Cotton” Richardson, age 73, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home. He was born September 2, 1952, in Rockwood and was a lifelong resident of the area. Cotton enjoyed working on old cars, fishing, watching baseball and softball, and mowing. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and loved spending time with family and good-naturedly picking at them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Pauline Richardson; brothers, Jesse Eugene “Buckwheat” Richardson, Arthur “Pete” Richardson, and Danny Lee Richardson; and sister, Connie Boles.

Survivors include:

Wife of 55 years: Jean Richardson

Son: “Bo” Richardson (Christie)

Daughter: Michelle Richardson Tipton

Grandchildren: Jake Tipton (Kerrigan “Molly”) and an expected Great Grandson

Austin Richardson (girlfriend, Emily)

Joe “Joe Joe” Tipton

Sister-in-law: Brenda Bowling

Brother-in-law: Charles Frady

Special Family Members: Matthew & Stephanie Cline & family

And several other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements have been made, and no formal services are being held. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is honored to serve the family of Mr. Tommy “Cotton” Richardson.
