I had the pleasure of being one of Mr. Tucker's students at Isothermal Community College. He was a very humble man, but enjoyed teaching and he made it very easy to understand, not like instructors who know the subject so well that they talk over your head. I was very fortunate to also know him and his wife outside of school when I was working at BB&T in Rutherfordton. We struck up a friendship. Mr. Tucker and his wife were going on a trip and they needed someone to feed their cats and he asked me if I would do it for him. I was very happy to assist them. I just want the family to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. And that you had such talented parents who brought the vision to light with their special talents. So, I want to say Thank you for sharing your father's gift in helping me to achieve my educational goals. Every time, I drive by their home here in Rutherfordton that I don't think of him. My prayers to you all for comfort. Tina McKinney Porter
