Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Woolf was born on December 4, 1962, and passed away August 7, 2024. He grew up in Fayetteville and graduated from Fayette County High School in 1981. Tommy worked at Fayette County High School as a custodian for 35 years before retiring.
Tommy never met a stranger and greeted everyone with kind words and a smile. He was always cheerful and saw good in everyone. If he liked you, he picked on you. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the races and watching it on TV. He loved all genres of music, from country to Bob Marley, cooking and spending time with his family (especially Maci).
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Jewel Woolf, his brother, James Woolf, his sister, Brenda Marie Woolf and his niece, Leslie Elliott.
He is survived by his siblings: Ruby Lynne Gillespie, Patricia Betsill, Lois Woolf (Mike Lee), Jeff Woolf (Jan) and Vera Woolf Hammond; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his "doggie" daughter: Sadie Marie.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
