Toni Congress

Toni Sharon Congress, 77, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest and was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was born on July 24, 1948, in Bronx, New York, to her beloved parents, Mazie and Eugene, who preceded her. Toni relocated to Connecticut, where she resided in New London County and met her longtime companion-Ernest Brown.Blending families, they shared six children together: Ernest Young( predeceased) Myla Brown, Derrick Brown, Sharon Brown (both predeceased) Travon Brown, and Twonne Davis (Franklin Davis)

Throughout her life, Toni was a hardworking individual in her professions and dedicated to sharing God's word. She enjoyed caring for others and attending church regularly.

Toni lived a life rooted in faith, love, and selfless devotion.Her presence brought comfort, her words brought encouragement, and her heart was always open to those in need. She gave freely of herself, living each day guided by the belief that giving is one of life's greatest blessings. She touched countless lives. She was truly a gentle spirit. She showed us what a beautiful soul looked like in motion. She was a patient listener, always ready to support and comfort.

Toni was the matriarch and spiritual foundation of our family. She nurtured and guided us, keeping our family grounded and united. The values she instilled and the faith she lived by will continue to shape and inspire us and generations to come.

Toni cherished time spent with family and friends. She found joy in togetherness -moments filled with love, laughter, and deep connections.

These memories will remain in our hearts forever. She was a godly woman who showed her fruits of the spirit to all.

A memorial will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 10a.m to 12p.m at Adbounding Grace Ministires, 3 Connecticut Avenue, New London, CT. Interment will be private.
