In Loving Memory
Toni Ray Ann Doyle
Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend, and co-worker passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024 surrounded by and in the hearts of family & loved ones.
Born at Tacoma General Hospital on October 27, 1953, the third of four siblings born to Donna (Estes) and Harold Apling. Toni found Washington to be her forever home, only moving to California for a brief time, before returning to Washington. When Toni was still a teenager, she met the love of her life Robert (Bobby) Doyle. They married on September 13, 1969, and for the next 39 years they were inseparable, until the Lord called Bobby home on December 21, 2008. We are comforted in knowing that Bob & Toni are together again.
In the late 1970's, after her three young children – Kerrie, Shelly & Jon were in school, she was happy to start work outside of the home as a waitress at Aunt Sadie's Restaurant. This would become a lifelong career which she loved very much. In 1982 Bob & Toni's fourth and final child Shane was born. Not long after Shane's birth, Toni went back to work as a waitress and soon moved over to the banquet world as a server. Toni worked at Best Western, The Convention Center and many other restaurants and hotels before ending her career at the LaQuinta Inn. She fondly referred to her friends/co-workers as her "LaQuinta Family."
After retiring in 2020, Toni genuinely enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She was always working in her happy place her "She Shed" where she skillfully made one-of-a- kind holiday wreaths, centerpieces, flower arrangements and other special occasion gifts for many people that she loved. She even sold a few, but just so she could afford to make more! Toni also enjoyed the beach, family gatherings, and Christmas. She especially loved decorating for the holidays!
Toni will be remembered as a person who knew no strangers; she loved people exactly how they were! Toni was well known for her integrity, strong will, humor, honesty, natural beauty and anyone who knew her knew that her family was the most important thing in the world to her.
Toni is survived by her children: Kerrie, Shelly Jon (Tammy), and Shane. Grandchildren Tammarr (Sami), Jamairyz (Shelby), Ryan (Alysha), DeShawn, Myah, & LaShay. Great-grandchildren Tiana, Jilayah, Jayden, Azriel, Ja'Siah, Kailani, Ky'Lecia, Raelyn & Zalaysia Siblings Haleene & Rick (Ilima) and Sisters-in-law Patty & Roxanne. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers & customers.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert (Bobby) Doyle. Parents Harold Apling & Donna Estes and brother Dave Apling. Doyle family members: Carol, Ron & Ron Jr, Tom & Tom Jr, Roger and Carla.
We will always carry Toni's memory in our hearts and cherish the time we had with her.
