'Toni' Antonia M. Velasco
'Toni' Antonia Marie Velasco, 15 of Grand Island died unexpectantly Saturday, December 23, 2023.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 5, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church at 5th and Elm Streets. Reverend Kelly Karges will officiate. As we honor Toni, pajama pants or Dodger Baseball attire is welcome.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday, January 4th at All Faiths Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family to be determined later.
Toni was born on January 31, 2008 in Grand Island the daughter of Jose and Andrea (Sorahan) Velasco. Toni attended Lincoln Elementary School, Walnut and Westridge Middle Schools and was currently in the 10th grade at Grand Island Senior High Success Academy.
Some of her accomplishments included playing traveling softball, GISH Softball and GISH Wrestling. She loved riding with her grandpa on his motorcycle. Toni was a Dodger Baseball fan, having attended many games. She loved her job, working for Subway on Webb Road. Those close to Toni, remember her love of telling many that they are #1!
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Jose and Andrea Velasco; younger sister, Abriela Velasco and younger brother, Alejandro Velasco; grandparents, Shelly and Mark Sorahan and Maria and Jesus Velasco; great grandparents, Kathy Sorahan and Jean Koch and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her great grandpa's, Michael Sorahan, Santos Raygoza and Jack Koch.
