Linda Schindler Obituary
Linda C. Schindler, 78, of Omaha, passed away Thursday, October 16.
When Linda was planning her funeral and was asked about her obituary, she said "I loved all my nieces and nephews more than anything. And I lived a good life. I don't want any of that other stuff in there."
She was the Best "Aunt Inda" we could ever have. She showed her love in many ways, but most beautifully in the quilts she made for each of us.
Linda is survived by her siblings, Barb (Bill) Dinslage, Ron (Sally) Schindler and Charlene Tarsney; her nieces and nephews who adored her; many great-nieces and great-nephews; 1one great-great-nephew and two great-great-nieces; and her German family, Martin Redhardt (Antoneta Berisha) and Monika, Alice and Milena Redhardt.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Stella Schindler; siblings, Larry Schindler and Cheri Cavanagh; husband, Chuck Broghammer; and special friend and companion, Dave Pelster, the love of her life.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held in January.

Sending my condolences to the friends and family of Linda. She was a "mighty senior" and I was a lowly freshman in 1965 but she always took me under her wing when it was initiation time. What a warm and generous person. Who knew we would share our name in the future? May she rest in peace.

To Linda's family: Condolences on your loss. Every time I was back in Nebraska and she was a the same event, Linda always came and welcomed me home. Won't forget that smile and friendliness. May she rest in peace.

Linda was a wonderful neighbor and friend. She cared for and supported her loved ones through difficult times. She was a dedicated teacher and legendary quilter. We were gifted two beautiful grandmother and grandfather quilts from Linda when she learned our first grandchildren were twins. She leaves a legacy of kindness, devotion and love.

Linda was a very giving person. She hosted our h.s. reunions which were great. It brought women together that shared a past, so we could catch up and continue to grow our friendships. She will be missed by all those who met her.
