Tony Russell Jefferson, son of the late William Turant Lee Jefferson and the late Carrie Mae Darlene Jefferson, was born on May 9, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the youngest son from this union,
Tony attended Baltimore City Public Schools and worked various jobs. In later years, he met and married Barbara Jefferson. There were no children from this union.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Barnes, Norma Wanza, Matilda White, Delores Brown, and Hattie Holland; his brothers, William T. Jefferson, Jr., Douglas Frier, Sr., and Elijah Willis Frier, Jr.
He leaves to mourn: his daughter, Latonia Decatur; his son, Antiwan Decatur; grandchildren, Veronica, Xaiver, Kedsha, Antiwan Jr., and Smekinah; great-grandchildren Karmarie, Ariel, Journey, Kamarie, Kyezeir, and Yuri; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
