Dr.Y, as my family liked to call him. Truly changed my health for the better!

He will be missed by my family and many others. I went to him for 18 years and remember almost every visit vividly. Especially the stickers and happy faces on the tongue depressors.

I hope his family knows how big of an impact he has had on many lives.

Sending well wishes.

My grandson is going to medical school because of you. You were Charlie Luna’s pediatrician and from the beginning it was a bond. He insisted to calling you Dr. Yamauchi and not Dr. Y as so many other of his little patients did. May you rest in peace a know how many lives you have touched.

Dr. Yamauchi was the kindest and gentlest Dr. Both my kids really loved seeing him. My son still has the last tongue depressor with the smiley face that Dr. Yamauchi drew on it for him. and he is 25 years old now. Dr. Y was the very first person to visit my babies in the hospital... that was so impressive that he went to the hospital to give them their first exam. He has been greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts!

Dr Yamauchi was mine and my brother pediatricians starting in 1985. He was the best. Sad to learn of his passing. The impact he had on others is evident reading through the guest book here. I still remember him to this day, even though I hadn't seen him in 25+ years. Thank you for the impact you made on so many people

Dr. Yamauchi were my 4 sons pediatrician, and he took very good care of them. He was very knowledgeable, gentle, kind, funny, and loving. My family loved him. Thank you Dr. Y for taking such good care of my boys. I still called your office number for my boys' appointment. I'm glad the new doctor kept your phone number. Thank God that Leslie is working for the new doctor, and she is there representing you. Every time I talked to her, your name would come up. We missed you Dr. Y.

Just happened to look up Dr. Yamauchi for grins and learned of his passing.
What a wonderful human being. My son was born in 1995 and we went to see Dr Yamauchi thru his childhood. He was always so sweet and gentle, as well as great at explaining what was going on with my son. When it was time for shots he would leave the room because he was not the bad guy, he would say. Lol. So sad to hear he is now longer with us. Thank you Dr. Yamaguchi for all you did for so many. You will be greatly missed.

I am very upset to learn about Doctor Y passing away. Known him for the last 14 years ever since we moved to Sugar land. He was a man of charm and charisma. What a wonderful human who worked for his passion rather than money. No one can forget his warm hug for the kids , his stethoscope with all cools toys, the smileys he drew on the stick for kids and the baseball cards/stickers he shared. He has told us so many stories about his childhood and how he worked so hard to get into the swim team in college just to get his Jersey. He was so hay to see our kids grow up and was proud of them like any grand parent would be. He was family and we were blessed to have him as our doctor. My prayers to his family to digest such a big loss and May his soul Rest In Peace.
Love you Doctor,

So sorry to learn today that Dr.Y is no longer with us. You were my kids' pediatrician for years. They enjoyed visiting your clinic, listening to the story about you, which's inspiring them a lot. It's sad that we could never make another trip to your office for the annual wellness checkup this year. Rest in peace Dr.Y, you'll be missed...

Tosh, as my father and my family know him as, will be greatly missed. My Grandmother, Hachisu "Irene" Nagai, taught Toshio, his younger brother, my father Richard, and my uncle Les how to play baseball when they were little kids in Grant Park Chicago. I fondly remember his and his families generosity when we went over there for Christmas dinners. You´ll never be forgotten and greatly missed, rest in peace Tosh. Love, Scott Nagai

Dr.Yamauchi was an amazing doctor that not only saw my sons from birth but he was also
my pediatrician. Before my first was born, there was no question on who I would take my babies to. His demeanor, advice, and knowledge will forever be our measure as the best. I appreciate all he has done for my family and for the community. Although my sons are only 7 and 5, Dr.Y's friends (as he lovingly called them) fondly remember his stethoscope, his smiley sticks, and wonderful sports cards which we keep in a special box. Our heartfelt condolences to his family.

Heartbroken to learn about his passing. He was an amazing man and my son’s Dr. Only doctor from the day he was born to his age of 14 now. He was also my brother’s & sisters doctor and they are now in their 40’s. Dr. Y has been seeing members of my family for decades. His gentle spirit and the trinkets he wore around his neck to keep the children at ease will be forever memories I will carry with me. Sending prayers to his family. What a great man and deep loss for the whole community he served. We will miss him dearly.

Dr. Y was our pediatrician for both of our kids since the moment they were born. He last saw my son in 2022 when he turned 10 and my daughter when she turned 7. They remembered his stethoscope, the popsicle sticks with the smiley faces, the stickers you got at the end of your visit and my son still has so many of his baseball cards. He cancelled our yearly visit this year so we knew something was wrong. We miss him so much. Prayers to his family. Thank you Dr. Y, may your golden heart finally rest.

Besides the excellent care and gentle demeanor, the sticks with smiley face and hugs are fond memories from the office visits with Dr Y. Our sincere condolences to the Yamauchi family.

Dr. Yamauchi, you were the kindest pediatrician around. Not only did my brothers and I see you until college (now 42, 41, and 35), but I knew exactly who would be my boys's pediatrician (14 and 12). You are a legend in Sugar Land who will certainly be missed. We still have so many sports cards saved in a collectors box at home. Rest in peace, Dr. Y.

We were so sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Y. My 2 kids were his patients since 2006. He was a sweet and caring doctor that nurtured his patients. My kids loved the little toy animals on his stethoscope that made noise or lit up. We saw him last February and he made the smiley faces on the wood tongue depressors and always encouraged us to take more baseball trading cards.
We are praying for him and his family. May he rest in peace.- Allison Page and Family

We are heartbroken. Dr. Y served as my children's pediatrician for the last 9 years. He was so gentle and compassionate. Dr. Y would spend enough time during each visit and always had a way to ease a parent's worry. We remember his adorable ties, his noisy keychains which my kids loved when they were babies. We will remember the smiley faces that he'd draw for them and the stickers and baseball cards he had available after each visit. We are filled with wonderful memories and he will be irreplaceable. He will be sorely missed. We love you Dr. Y!

Dr. Y was my son´s pedi for just a few years, but he left a lasting memory. His duck keychains stuck out the most, and how he would always refer to his nurse to do the shots so he could continue to be besties with his patients. His voice was sweet and recognizable. He touched so many lives from birth to adulthood, and he will be dearly missed. Sending my love and thoughts to his family, staff, and all those who were lucky to meet and know him. Rest easy, Dr. Y.

We are devastated...

We love Dr Y. We have known him for over 26 years - since my oldest daughter was a baby. My kids are now 26, 24 and 18. Visits to his office were always something the kids looked forward to. The happy sticks, the stickers and the sports cards he gave out at the end of each visit. And the hugs... He was gentle and such a calming presence too. We saw him exactly a year ago when my youngest had her final checkup before heading off to college. And yes, she got her happy stick and stickers and a big hug from Dr Y.

My kids and I will miss you dearly Dr Y...

Dr. Yamauchi was the doctor for my 2 kids from birth to adulthood. He was so gentle and caring. They loved the smiley faces, sports cards and stickers. Beyond that we all trusted and respected him. When my son sang the national anthem at The Comets game years ago, there was Dr. Y cheering him on. My kids loved measuring themselves against the player posters in his office. He was so encouraging to my daughter in the pursuit of her soccer goals. The greatest compliment to him is both kids (ages 24 and 27) were brought to tears when they heard this news. He was loved so much and will always be fondly remembered. Prayers to all the family and the office staff.

Dr. Y was my pediatrician as a child I was so thrilled to be able to have him as a pediatrician to both my kids. He was a wonderful man with such a sweet demeanor that put any child at ease. Happy face sticks will be missed at our house even at 16 and 12. My favorite memory of him was when he told me my oldest would be 5'10" when he grew up based on charts, then looked at me and my husband and said "Nope - taller". The boy is 6'5" and still growing. On our last visit he took one look at him and said in that sweet voice "Oh my William!"

Sincere condolences to the Yamauchi family.

Dr. Y was my pediatrician from when I was born to about 5 or 6 years old. He was an amazing Doctor. I never had an unpleasant visit with him and it's what helped me to never have a fear of going to the doctor as I grew up. As I got older I started going to a doctor in the same building as his office and would pass by every time I go in for an appointment and brought back all the memories of pleasant visits and many stickers and smiley face tongue depressors. There are no doctors like him in this world. He was truly irreplaceable. Rest easy and thank you for all you did for the kids in the community!
