Tracey Mayes Woodard, 53, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Gary W. Woodard, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Tracey was born March 11, 1970 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Robert Mayes and Mary Mayes. You could always find Tracey at her parents house on Thursdays with her daughter Morgan, and more recently grandson Grayson. She became a Grandmother (YaYa) 2 years ago when Grayson was born and she loved him dearly. Tracey worked at Charleston Glass for 30 years. She also had an untitled job as a party planner. No matter what the occasion she was ready and prepared. Some of Traceys favorite things were going to Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach, shopping any kind of shopping, spending time with family, shoes, cats, baking, and Christmas.
In addition to her husband and parents, Tracey is survived by her daughter, Morgan; grandson, Grayson (2); her brother, Stephen T. Mayes; her two nephews, Nicholas Mayes and Andrew Mayes; and her cats Bear, Patches, and Monkey.

I recently learned about Tracey's passing. Even though we lost touch over the years, I thought of her through the years. Robert, Mary and Stephen I am deeply sorry for the loss of your sweet daughter/sister. Please accept my deepest condolences.
To her Husband and Daughter, I am deeply sorry for your loss.
I too remember many sleepovers and dinner at each other's houses. I also remember my senior year in high school and Tracey had just made the cheerleading team and kidnapping her and talking her to school.

I met Tracey in 6th grade and we became instant friends. I remember many sleepovers, cheering together at MHS, trips to the beach, her visit to Clemson, marriages, babies, and so many times we spent together. We share all the same loves - including shoes!-which is why we got along so well together. I loved her so much and will miss her every day. I pray that the family finds peace. You all are in my prayers.
