Tracie Glicker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Silverton Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Toms River on Feb. 25, 2026.
Tracie Allison Glicker 11/26/1964 - 2/15/2026

Tracie, a vibrant soul whose laughter was infectious in every room she entered, embarked on her eternal adventure on February 15, 2026, at the age of 61, in the sunny embrace of Ocala, FL., just after she arrived where she planned to compete in the HITS Ocala Show circuit. Born on November 26,1964, in the heart of Virginia, Tracie was a force of nature who could charm the birds from the trees and probably give them a checkup while she was at it.

A proud alumna of Rutgers University, Tracie's pursuit of knowledge didn't stop at undergrad shenanigans. She galloped her way through Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, which only enhanced her passion for all creatures, great and small, and where she met the father of her children, Dana Schoelen. Her love for animals was only matched by her entrepreneurial spirit as she went on to become the beloved owner of Raintree Veterinary Hospital alongside Dana. Later, she became the owner of Purrfurred Veterinary Care, where she further expanded her clientele and was voted the best veterinarian in Monmouth County.

Tracie's life was a tapestry of joy and exploration, woven with threads of adventure and humor. She was a woman who lived life in the saddle, always seen riding horses with her daughter, Kylie Schoelen, with whom she shared an unbridled bond. They traveled all over the states for horse shows. When not horsing around, Tracie could be found on boat rides, orchestrating waves of laughter with her son, Blaise Schoelen. Her greatest pride and purpose in life was being a mother, and there was nothing she would not sacrifice to protect, support, and uplift her children.

Daniel Geis, her devoted fiancé, was her partner in both love and adventure. Together, they navigated life's waters and the literal seas, embracing spontaneous vacations and laughter-filled escapades that perfectly matched Tracie's quick wit and free spirit. They built a life side by side, even raising a barn in their backyard, where countless hours were spent together with the horses she loved so dearly. Tracie introduced Dan to the equestrian world, and in loving her, he grew to love it too, wholeheartedly joining her in every new adventure.

Preceding her in death are Dana Schoelen, the father of her children; her mother, Patricia Duffield; her father, Ion Robert Glicker; and stepfather, Terry Duffield, each an important part of the symphony of her life, sharing in its laughter, love, and memories. Her beloved horses, dogs, and cats are being cared for by her family.

Tracie was a woman of many hats, or rather, laughs. She was as passionate as she was adventurous, with a sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. Her comedic timing was as precise as her veterinary skills, and she had a knack for finding the funny in the furry. Tracie was unapologetically honest and didn't sugar coat anything; she was "what you see is what you get". She would move mountains for those whom she loved and wouldn't let anything get in her way.

Her comedic talents weren't just reserved for the living room; Tracie's humor was an integral part of her work. She could put a smile on the face of a worried pet owner and a wag on the tail of an anxious pooch with just a few well-chosen words. The way she could calm down a patient as soon as she walked in the room was extraordinary. Her legacy is one of joy, laughter, and a menagerie of happy, healthy pets. Once one became a client, they stayed a client. Most of her clientele has been by her side for 30+ years.

As we bid farewell to Tracie Allison Glicker, let's not dwell in sorrow but celebrate the laughter she left behind. She may have taken her final bow, but her jokes, her love, and her spirit will keep the spotlight shining for years to come. The world was her stage, and oh, what a performance it was. Curtain down, laughter forever echoing, Tracie; you will be missed but never, ever forgotten. If love alone could have saved her, she would have lived forever.

We first met Tracie when she was at Allenwood Animal Hospital, and was so impressed by her unique way with my cats. She treated them as I did, like they were my children. I wasted no time following her to Raintree and then to Purrfurred. She guided us through many sorrows & blessings. When I lost my husband 44 months ago, she hugged me on the first visit I kept without him and guided me through another (most) painful loss. I will miss her forever and mourn the loss of her care for my furr babies. She was one in a million. You used up all the love God gave you to share and needed you to make way for someone else to take up the cause. Sleep well you more than earned it.

I don't have any words to say. this is truly a tragedy. Doc was the only person I trusted with my pets and saved three of their lives when other vets failed me. She became so fear and trusted to me and eventually ended up becoming a friend in the industry where we shared clients and could trust each other to care for them. I don't think a day ever went by where I didn't sing her praises to someone. I hope shes resting peacefully and I hope whatever comes next she's in good hands with all the animals she cared for all these years.
