Tracie M. (Hietala) LeRoy, 59, of Hubbardston, died peacefully Friday, September 26, 2025, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 1, 1966, in Fitchburg, the daughter of William F. Burke and the late Mary E. (Adams) Hietala. Tracie was a medical assistant employed by the Office of Dr. O'Leary of Leominster for many years until her retirement in 2006.
Tracie was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 743 of Gardner and was also a member of the Wallace Figure Skating Club in Fitchburg, where she spent many a Saturday with Theresa learning how to skate. She found joy in cheering on the Boston Red Sox and watching her favorite films and shows, including Star Wars, Titanic, and Law & Order: SVU. Tracie was always witty, loving, and her smile lit up a room. She always made friends with whomever she met. Above all, Tracie treasured time spent with her family, especially her beloved nieces.
Besides her father, Tracie leaves three sisters Tammi Lloyd of Baldwinville, Theresa Hietala and her Fiancé Mark Fleming of Hubbardston, with whom she lived with, and Kristine Burke of Fitchburg; two brothers, Michael Burke and his wife Tammy of Fitchburg, and Ronald Burke of California; her stepmother Linda Burke; three nieces Katerina Lloyd of Baldwinville, Kristen Lloyd and her fiancé Harrison Naimo of Litchfield, NH, and Riley Fleming of Barre; and several cousins.
Besides her mother, Tracie is predeceased by her husband Kevin C. LeRoy, who died in 2006.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
A Calling Hour will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. both in the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held at St. Bernards Cemetery, 96 Goodrich Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
