Trae Elliott Sebesta, 56, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, formerly of Clarkfield, Minnesota, passed away on June 6, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1969, in Hawarden, Iowa. He attended Clarkfield High School before moving to Mankato, Minnesota and becoming a master plumber.
Trae was known for his willingness to help others and found great joy in the outdoors-whether fishing, hiking, or simply spending time in nature. A lifelong learner, he had a curious mind, a passion for discovering new things, and a love of sharing his knowledge with others.
He lived a life defined by kindness, curiosity, and a great sense of humor. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for his family, and the way he approached life with a mix of seriousness and wit.
Trae was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen (LaPour) Ulferts. He is survived by his father, David (Jan) Sebesta; his cherished daughters, Courtnee Sebesta and Karynn Sebesta; and his beloved granddaughters, Abby and Allie. He is also survived by his brother, Jerrid (Emily) Sebesta, along with stepsiblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Mueller Memorial of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
