He was a native of Bristol, GA and lived most of his life in Waycross, GA. He owned and operated R.J. Thomas Business Machines and was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Goble and Louise Lord Goble; and his wife, Diane Goble.
He is survived by two sons, Ray Goble, Jr. (Robbi) of Blackshear, GA and Stacy Goble (Laura) of Waycross, GA; five grandchildren, Shelton Goble (Lanie) of Waycross, GA, Zack Goble (Annie) of Grovetown, GA, Zane Goble of Blackshear, GA, Amanda "Tomie" Jones (Cree) of Waycross, GA, and Gannon Goble of Abbeville, GA; two great grandchildren, Peyton Goble and Jerzie Jones; a sister, Geraldine "Sister" Rogers of Waycross, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday (May 31, 2023) at Sunnyside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends starting at 3:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way Waycross, GA 31501.
Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.musicfuneralhome.com.
