Travis Lee Hoffman was born on August 27, 1981 in
Mason City, Iowa to parents Jerry and Marilyn (Tweed) Hoffman. He was baptized on September 27, 1981 and confirmed on April 13, 1997, both at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills. Travis received most of his education at Lake Mills Community Schools and graduated from high school in
Kirksville, Missouri in 2000.
After moving back to Lake Mills, Travis held various jobs including working for DRAS Cases, Black Hills Energy, and most recently was a store manager for All States Ag Parts. Travis was very handy and could fix just about anything. His flexibility was ideal for helping local farmers and driving school bus for LMCS
On June 28, 2003, Travis was married to Ashley Honsey at Salem Lutheran Church. The couple had two daughters: Emma and Thea, and Travis was proud to be a girl dad.
Travis loved spending time outdoors: hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, camping, boating, cooking, grilling and smoking (even building his own smoker). Travis was very proud of his "dad jokes" and was never short on sarcasm.
He is survived by his wife Ashley and two daughters Emma and Thea, all of Lake Mills; his parents Jerry and Marilyn Hoffman of Lake Mills; and his two sisters and their families: Michele & Jeff Kelso of
Clear Lake, IA and their children: Justin, Blake (Kiah) and Aaron (Kristine); and Kristen & Juan Sierra of Traer, IA and their children: Nic (Peyton), Isabel and Mya. Travis is also survived by his in-laws, Mark and Patti Honsey, grandparents-in-law, Harris and LeAnn Honsey, all of Lake Mills; and a brother- and sister-in-law Beau & Cameo Honsey of Iowa Falls, IA and their children: Kimber and Easton. He is survived by countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Travis was preceded in death by three sets of grandparents: Harold & Synnova Hoffman, LeRoy & Beatrice Tweed, and Bo & Marian Gooden.
