Travis Alan Ochsner, known to many as "Bubba", passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA. He was born June 19, 1989 in Aberdeen, Washington. Travis was a life-long resident of Elma and graduated from Elma High School in 2008. After graduating he moved to Sacramento, CA to attend UTI where he earned a degree as a diesel mechanic. Travis returned to Elma after graduation and worked at Pacific Fleet Services in Tacoma. Travis was a very loving individual. He had a nurturing personality and touched many people. Travis was quick to make a joke and had a talent for making others laugh as well. Travis enjoyed playing guitar, riding quads, hunting, fishing, and had a great love for music. His passion was playing football and after returning home from Sacramento he was honored to be able to help with conditioning camp. Travis is survived by his parents, Dana and Virgil Ochsner, his siblings Jessica Foster, Jamie (Foster) Fernald, Jordan Ochsner, Cassie Wolfe, and Alexis Ochsner, his grandparents Phil and Nancy Graves, Phil and Sina Raymond, and Norm and Shirley Ochsner, great grandmother Anna Graves as well as many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister Danielle Renee Foster. Viewing will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Elma High School gym at 3 p.m. The burial will be Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Elma Masonic Cemetery at 11 a.m. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Our Community Credit Union C/O Travis Ochsner Scholarship Fund.
