Bo Seelig and Donna Bhatia
January 4, 2026
We remember Travis fondly. He took care of my Dad's horses for years and then mine and Donna's horses. He saved the life of our mare, Sienna, when she foundered badly and couldn't walk. Came multiple times a day and soaked her front hooves in pretzel salt and water and saved her life. A great neighbor and good friend. He will always be remembered for his saying "Handy as a pocket on a shirt!" We will miss Travis and his friendship greatly.

I really don't remember what grade I was in at the Apple Springs school when I first noticed Travis playing marbles at school, but probably around the 6th grade. But he was a good marble shooter for sure, and I remember him as being good at whatever he did and a "no foolishness" sort of guy. A bunch of years later, I met up with him at the Senior Center in Apple Springs and ate lunch across the table from him at the Senior Center for several years. We had many interesting conversations during that time! He loved hunting and fishing and generally anything to do with the outdoors! Although he was a few years older than I was, he was a good friend and a great guy! He will be sorely missed!
