Obituary of Travis Lee Wallace
Travis Lee Wallace was born on December 14, 1952 to the late Rudolph "Buddy" and Dorothy Mae Wallace. As the third eldest sibling, Travis grew up in Plainview, Texas and later his family moved to Roby, Texas as their final place of residence. He received his high school education at Plainview High School in Plainview, Texas. Travis entered the United States Navy after high school, where he served as a boiler technician on naval ships during the Vietnam War era. After leaving the Navy, Travis returned to his home state of Texas.
During his life, Travis provided a wonderful complement to his family with his understated and captivating personality. Travis had an amazing sense of humor and an inquisitive mind while seeking knowledge and meaning beyond the surface level. Travis met the love of his life, Donna Williams in 1987 and to this union were added Jeremy Thompson and Travis "KeKe" Wallace Williams. Travis loved his family and enjoyed living his life, and keeping things simple. Travis was employed for many years in Snyder, Texas at the Wilson Motors and later in Sweetwater, Texas at The Dent Shop as an automotive body painter. After his retirement, Travis moved back to his home town of Roby, Texas where he continued to repair and paint cars on a part-time basis.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Rudolph (Buddy) and Dorothy Wallace; and three brothers, Robert Odell Thomas, Kilroy Wallace and Elroy Wallace.
Travis leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life, Donna Williams; sons, Jeremy Thompson and Travis "KeKe" Wallace Williams; three beautiful grandchildren, Kahmaya, Ahmazing and Keyshawn Williams Wallace; four brothers, Curtis Lee Wallace, Larry J. Wallace, Jerry L. Wallace and Rudy V. Wallace; three sisters, Emma J. Wallace, Doris F. Wallace-Reed and Brenda Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
