Tremain Dhemain Russell, lived life out loud. He was born in Detroit, MI, on Monday, July 15, 1991. “Trey” lit a fire in the hearts of all who loved him.He was the beloved son of Tomecca Russell and Tremain Jones, and the cherished bonus son of Damon J. Russell. His life was hallmarked by faith, family, and fatherhood. Trey’s journey holds unique beginnings when the family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where he began preschool–sparking his curiosity in life. They later moved to Columbus, Ohio, and he graduated from Westerville South High School in 2010. He came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and he attended New Covenant Believers’ Church. His unwavering belief and love for the Lord were evident. He always strived to be a good father, son, brother, cousin, grandson and friend. Throughout his life, Trey was known for hiscreativity, artistry, and love for music. As asongwriter and performer, his energy wasunmatched. Off stage, Trey was known forjokes that would force anyone into a stomach-aching laugh. May we all remember the sound of hislaughter when we search to find our own in the tears we shed. Trey was an avid fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Michigan Wolverines. You could find him expressing his enthusiasm at his phone or the nearest television each season! He also enjoyed spending quality time with family & friends, shopping, and putting together outfits that showcased his unique dress style. Above all, he was a dedicated father, deeply committed to the smiles on his daughters’ faces. His girls were the light of his life. His beloved daughters who brought him immeasurable joy are Laila Russell, 10, and Lyza Russell, 4. They will carry his legacy of love, laughter, and a bold pursuit of life. Trey is preceded in death by his Bonus Dad, Damon J. Russell. He is survived by his parents, Tomecca Russell and Tremain Jones; siblings, Tammy Russell, Damonjah Russell, Dajon Wheeler, and Dayanna Wheeler. In 33 years of life, Trey’s impact was special. In his untimely passing, he entered eternal rest on Monday, January 20, 2025, and passes a memory that will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. Trey will be TRULY MISSED, yet his family takes comfort in knowing that Trey is now resting in the arms of his Heavenly Father. Our love knows no end.Until we meet again, Trey!
