Trena Grant (Crowder) Flemmings was born on July 23, 1943 in Burrow, (Hunt Co.) Texas to Leonard and Lizzie Mae (Evans) Grant. She passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024 in Texarkana Arkansas. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the North Ridge Church of Christ, Interment will follow at the Edwards Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant TX.

Trena was fondly known to friends and family as “Trena Ann”. She attended Central Grove Schools in Cason Texas, and JJ Rhoades High School in Daingerfield Texas. Trena was known for her impeccable work ethics. She volunteered for overtime and worked two or three jobs with confidence, but her greatest gift from God was her large family. She would glow with her radiant smile when she spoke of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Trena married Jessie Crowder, and to this union, nine children were born in love and total devotion: Stephanie Rena, Otis Lamar, Frederick Dale, Fred DeWayne, Jerry Dell, Quinton Darnell, James Alvin, Frances Denese and Yolanda Charlette. Trena and Jessie reared their four oldest grandsons; Mirrace, Marcus, Mario, and Sherrod as their own children. She played a vital role in assisting and helping with all of the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Trena obeyed the Gospel at the Sheppard Street Church of Christ. She worshipped at the North Ridge Church of Christ until she moved to Texarkana to be closer to some of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She placed membership at the Atlanta Street Church of Christ in Texarkana where she was a faithful and dedicated member. Even in her illness you would see her with her son, Otis Walker, marching in the house of God to glorify and magnify the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her son, Earnest Ray Grant, grandchildren; Natalie Walker, Jakeris Allen, Treaderrion Crowder, and Kendrick Dale Walker, Great-Grandchildren; Gavyn K’yan Sanford, and Notoryous Dayshun Crabtree, her parents, Abe and Carrie Howard, her mother and father, God-Given Mother- Margie Rundles, sister, Loretta Adair, and children, Billy Joe, Claudine, Perry(Jack), Jodie, Carrie, and Bobby Dean. Sisters: Margaret Grant, Letha Mae Reed, Anna Blanche Evans, Linda Joe Evans, and Vinie Larry, Brothers; Van Wayne Reed, C.L. Evans, Steward Grant, R.H. Henderson and Wes Henderson.

Trena leaves to celebrate her life, three daughters; Stephanie Standberry and Yolanda Willis of Texarkana Ark., and Frances Richardson of Tyler Texas. Six sons; Otis Walker and James Crowder of Texarkana TX., Quinton Walker of Austin TX., Frederick Walker, Fred Crowder, and Jerry Dell Walker of Mt.
