Tresser Smith Obituary
Tresser Gladin Smith, age 79 of Young Harris, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026. Tresser was born January 18, 1947 in Sparta, Georgia to the late Wilbur Gladin and Gladys (Caraway) Douglas. She was a member for many years of the Eastern Star Chapter in Milledgeville, Georgia. She was a jokester and loved to pick on people. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and crosswords. She loved crafting and going to craft festivals. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Larry Smith of Oconee, GA; brother, W.A. Gladin; sisters, Eva Osborn, Ruby Lane, Glenda Butler; granddaughter, Lily Gondal. She is survived by her daughter, Tresser (Kelli) Hogue; son, Ivy (Kimberly) Smith; grandchildren, Oren Gondal, Peyton Smith, Ashton (Seth) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Sophia Bailey, Ryland Cloer-Smith, Rosalie Bailey, Atlas Bailey, Noa Bailey; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Visitation: Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 12:00-2:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home
Funeral: Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 2:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating.
Interment will follow at Laurel Hills cemetery.
Banister-Cooper is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Smith.
