Treva May Shepherd, 83, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2025. Born May 1, 1942, in Clay County, Indiana, to Clarence and Treva Shepherd, she was a one-of-a-kind soul with a flair for color, a sharp tongue, and a heart that never failed to make an impression.
Treva loved all things supernatural – especially her favorite hunter, Sam. She never missed a chance to tell people exactly what she thought (or what they should be doing), usually with a few choice words thrown in for good measure. Her quick wit, love of pink and purple, and habit of saying she "wanted to go to bed" even when she was already in bed will forever bring smiles to those who knew her.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, music, colorful books, and getting her nails painted just right. Treva was cared for and loved deeply by the staff and friends at her home, who will miss her sass, laughter, and unmistakable presence.
Although Treva lived independently and was most at home among her caregivers and friends, she also leaves behind extended family, including a sister and her family living several hours south, whose memories of her will continue to live on.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Treva Shepherd.
A funeral service for Treva will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Treva lived life her way -bold, colorful, and unapologetically herself – and the world is a little less lively without her in it.
