Trevear Scott Willoughby

Trevear Scott Willoughby, 36, passed away, Thursday, September 25, 2025, unexpectedly at his residence. He was born on August 1, 1989, in Portland, IN. Trevear was a graduate of Warren Robbins High School and formerly employed by New Indy in Hartford City, IN. He was a happy go lucky kinda guy, with a great personality, big heart, loved people, socializing and above all else, time with his family and 2 precious daughters. Trevear enjoyed playing video games, shopping with his girls, fishing, writing poems in his younger days, listening to 80's & 90's rock, and was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He is survived by his parents Mark and Donna Willoughby, 2 daughters: Alayna and Trista Willoughby, 2 brothers: Josh Dishman and James Dishman (Alyssa), 1 grandmother: Betty Jean Willoughby, 1 uncle: Daniel Hart Willoughby (Megan), 4 cousins: Valiant Willoughby, Victoria Willoughby, Casey Carpenter, Gary Carpenter, and several nephews, friends and extended family members. Trevear was preceded in death by his grandfather Sidney Hart Willoughby, grandparents: Randolph Glen and Joyce C. Simpkins, 1 uncle: Jeff Simpkins and 1 aunt: Penny Willoughby. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at MJS Mortuaries - Dunkirk Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Reverend Ronnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkirk IOOF Cemetery in Dunkirk, IN. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riley Children's Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Dunkirk Chapel.
