Trevor Ryan Sellers, a beloved son, brother and husband, passed away peacefully on September 28th, 2025. Born on December 13th, 1977 in Okeechobee, Florida to Dale Sellers and Sharon Sellers (Pierce). He was a resident of Athens, Georgia for 10 years.
He was a dedicated IT Manager Specialist for the University of Georgia. Trevor joined the University of Georgia in 2015 in the office of Institutional Research before transitioning to Terry College of Business 3 years ago, where he worked as a Tier 2 Team lead before being promoted to Endpoint Manager, leading the efforts to secure the college’s computing environment. He earned a Master of Business & Technology degree from Terry College in 2021 and had just begun a master’s program at Georgia Tech, focusing on cybersecurity. Trevor attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Physics and Nuclear Engineering and was a loyal attendee of the annual Army/Navy football game, wearing his Army colors proudly. At UGA, he served on the administrative privilege committee, enhancing security standards while meeting operational needs. Trevor also enjoyed cooking, video games, sci-fi books, and LEGOs, displaying a 4-foot-tall Saturn 5 made of LEGOs in his Terry office. He was devoted to his time at UGA, family, and friends. He was fluent in Mandarin Chinese having spent 6 months in Tianjin, China and he loved his Chinese food. He was a 3rd Degree Black belt in Taekwondo.
Trevor is survived by his wife Mary Pauline Saquing-Sellers, sisters, Ashley Sellers, Lindsey Sellers, Courtney Harrison (Strat), his brother Darby Pierce, his brother in arms Eric Medina, His nephew Nicholas Flammia and his mother Sharon Pierce and step-father Alan Pierce, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Dale Allen Sellers, Grandparents: Joyce & Norton Johnston, Shirley & Dorman Sellers, and Charles McDonald.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Mathews Funeral Home.
