Trisha Walsh of Naperville, passed away early on Monday, November 8, 2021.
She leaves behind her husband Chris, her children Allison, Colin and Megan, her parents John and Patricia Krizik, her father-in-law Robert Walsh, her brothers Bryant Krizik and Mark Krizik, sister Natalie Randolph and her husband Steven, brother-in-law Kevin Walsh and wife Jerry Countryman, brother-in-law Rob Walsh and wife Michelle, as well as her nieces and nephews Andrew, Ashley, Melissa, Jillian, Thomas, Sarah, Nick, Anthony, Amelia and Otto.
She was a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign, where she received her undergraduate degree in early education and later her Master's in education from Saint Xavier University. After college, Trisha and Chris settled in Naperville where they have raised their family for 20 years.
How do you sum up someone who was so much to so many?
First and foremost, she was a mom. Allison, Colin, and Megan had the best mom in the world. They were her life's work. She poured every ounce of her energy into nurturing them and keeping them healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. She truly loved every minute of being a mom, every swim meet, soccer game, NCL activity. She always strived to help them "live their best lives" doing whatever she could to support them in any endeavor they wished to take on. Never was she more proud and felt more accomplished as a mother than this fall, when Allison moved to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology, Colin started at the University of Kentucky and Megan at San Diego State University.
She was an awesome wife. High school sweethearts, they were just as devoted to each other as they were 35 years ago. She was his parental partner, his travel buddy, his best friend.
She was the best sister and aunt. Every family holiday was organized and every detail addressed. She would bring the apps, the centerpieces, plan the meal, and the games after. Trisha loved birthdays, especially her own. Hers was a month long event and she always said it was her favorite holiday. Multiple cakes with buttercream frosting every year. Everyone else's birthday was special too; she always knew what gift to get or cake to bring. Everyone counted on Trisha to "bring the fun" and she did. Every. Single. Time.
Always down for a lunch, a gym class, a wild night out or a personal chat, she was everyone's friend. She was kind, thoughtful, giving, and selfless, almost to a fault. She always arrived ready for a good time and would have more fun than everyone. And she took pictures of all of it, with all of you; she loved looking back at the great times.
A staunch advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation starting the month after Colin was born with CF, her efforts helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for CF research which led to the "miracle drugs" Colin takes today.
She would move heaven and earth to make things better for those around her. If you knew her, you were lucky.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
