Tristin Stanley, age 29, rode his last wheelie into the sunset on August 28, 2025, straight into his papa’s arms. If you knew Tristin, you knew three things: he loved his family, he loved his sport bike, and he loved giving everyone around him a hard time.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 5, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral home with Shawna Stanley officiating.
Born on January 16, 1996, in Odessa, TX, Tristin grew up with a mischievous streak that never left him. He was the kind of guy who could prank you, roast you, and still have you laughing so hard you forgot to stay mad. He didn’t just “tell it like it is”, he delivered it with a smirk and a punchline.
He lived life in the fast lane, literally and figuratively. Whether he was twisting the throttle on his bike, sneaking in a joke at the worst possible time, or making sure everyone around him cracked a smile, Tristin made sure there was never a dull moment.
Tristin is survived by his loving mom Brandy Stanley and stepdad Erik Martinez; his wife Leah Stanley and his sons Aidyn Stanley and Jude Bowen; his brothers and sisters Taylor, Blake and Kaleb Stanley; his niece and nephew Luna and Zarion Ross; his Grandparents Cheryl and Dale Murray; his aunt and uncle Misty and Robbie Swafford; and his cousins Montana and Bobby Anderson, and Gregory Slaughter. He also leaves behind numerous other aunts, uncles, and friends who will no doubt be telling stories of his antics for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Papa, Phillip David Stanley.
Tristin leaves behind a family and circle of friends who will miss him more than words can say — but who will also carry on his legacy by laughing louder, living bolder, and maybe pulling one prank too many in his honor.
So instead of “rest in peace,” we’ll say: “Ride on, Tristin. Keep the roads warm for us, and don’t forget to save us a good punchline.”
