Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tom M. Wages Funeral Service - Snellville on Dec. 2, 2025.
Troy Anthony Wallace, 63, of Loganville, Ga went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2025. Troy was born on September 18, 1962 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Lois Turner, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Troy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susan Kay Wallace, and their son, Justin Alexander Wallace. He is also survived by his father, James T. Wallace, Jr. (Donna); his brothers, James T. Wallace, III (Ramona), and Stephen C. Wallace; his sister, Angela L. Johnson (Whittney); along with an aunt, an uncle, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins.
Troy entered the world prematurely and with congenital challenges that would follow him throughout his life-obstacles that might have discouraged many. But Troy refused to let those difficulties define him. With determination, resilience, and a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew him, he faced each challenge head-on and lived his life with purpose and heart.
Troy met the love of his life, Susan, while serving in the bus ministry at Corinth Baptist Church. That role not only allowed him to faithfully serve the Lord he loved, but also became the unexpected blessing that brought him to the woman who would become his devoted wife of 42 years.
Troy was a devoted husband and a wonderful provider. In fact, on the way to the church for their wedding ceremony, he stopped to purchase the land where he would later build their first home-a testament to his dedication, his foresight, and the love he had for the life he and Susan were beginning together.
From a young age, Troy had a natural talent for building, creating, and working with his hands. His love for hands-on projects shaped the course of his life and career. While building his family's home, Troy also worked full time with a local electrical company-a role that sparked a deeper interest in the electrical trade.
Driven to grow in his craft, he applied to the IBEW Local 613 apprenticeship program, where he trained diligently and ultimately earned his license as a master electrician. Troy later founded and operated his own electrical company, faithfully serving his community for ten years before returning to the union he always valued.
Troy was a devoted father to his son, Justin, giving generously of his time and love. He poured his heart into supporting Justin, coaching his baseball teams and encouraging him through every stage of his childhood. Being a father was one of Troy's greatest joys, and his steady presence and guidance will be forever remembered.
Troy's passing leaves a deep void in the lives of his family and friends. His strength, kindness, and love will be remembered by all who knew him.
