In the early morning hours of Sunday, February 15, 2026, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Kenneth Eugene “KC” Cross, passed into the arms of the Lord at the age of 77.

KC was born on November 21, 1948, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the late Harold and Margaret Milosh Cross. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, KC faithfully served his country for 20 years in Air Traffic Control and with the 5th MOB. Following his military retirement, he continued his life of service by dedicating 25 years to helping others as a life insurance agent and in management.

KC had a deep love for sports and was a devoted fan of the University of Tennessee — proudly cheering, “GO VOLS!” He enjoyed watching old Western movies, attending plays and Broadway shows, and listening to country music. An avid golfer, KC also cherished traveling across the United States, creating memories along the way.

Above all, KC treasured his family. He was a devoted husband of 39 years to Sharon Cross, a loving father to Nikki Phillips (Andy), a proud grandfather to Cooper Phillips, who was truly the light of his life, and a loyal brother to Joan Richard. He was a faithful friend, remembered by all who knew him for his warmth, dedication, and unwavering love.

In addition to his parents, KC was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys, Patricia, and Katherine, all of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sharon Cross; daughter, Nikki Phillips (Andy); grandson, Cooper Phillips; and sister, Joan Richard, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A memorial gathering with KC’s family will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
