Obituary of Tu Hong Duong
Mr. Tu H. Duong, age 69, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, February 10, after a courageous battle against glioblastoma. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Le, and two daughters: Michelle Duong and Marilyn Duong.
Mr. Duong was born on September 15, 1954 in Hai Phong, Vietnam and grew up in Da Lat, Vietnam. He emigrated to the United States in 1975 as a refugee of the Vietnam War. He and his wife Linda settled down in Brookfield, CT where they raised their two daughters. He worked in information technology up until his cancer diagnosis. He was a hard-working, humble, and kind soul who would do anything to help others. He has left an impact on countless friends and family members who will miss him dearly.
Buddhist funeral services will be held at Cornell Memorial Home (247 White St, Danbury, CT 06810) on Saturday, February 17th from 10am-12pm with visiting hours from 12pm-2pm. Cremation will follow afterwards at Charter Oak Crematory (333 Christian St, Oxford, CT 06478).
Mr. Duong's family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Danbury Hospital for their care and support during the last four months.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Goldstone Caregiver Center at Danbury Hospital (Danbury Hospital Foundation, PO Box 22539, New York, NY 10087 or online at Nuvancehealth.org/giving - please designate donation in memory of Tu Duong) or to the Hai An Buddhist Pagoda (255 Cherry Street, New Britain, CT 06051).
