Our World stopped on Sunday, October 1, 2023, as our beloved Tucker James Parkinson of Levelland, was called home.
Tucker was born on October 29, 2007, to Jonny and Amber Parkinson. He was his father’s pride and his mother’s love. Welcoming his younger brother, Colt, to the family, they quickly became best buds and partners in crime spending countless hours helping with the family’s cattle and farming operation.
Tuck was the friend everyone wanted. He was kind, loyal and genuinely cared for others. Many friends refer to him as the most kindhearted young adult they know. He never shied away from doing the hard work or standing up for someone in need.
Tucker loved many things including football, basketball, track and his newest venture, golf. Tucker was not afraid to try new things and always gave 100%. But nothing made him as happy as being in the barn and the pasture working with his show string or studying new genetics to incorporate into his herd. Tucker’s work ethic was evident in all his activities.
Our lives are better because of Tucker, and we will cherish every memory and smile.
Survivors include his parents, Jonny and Amber Parkinson and brother Colt of Levelland; grandparents, Bruce and Paula Lawrence of Anton; great grandmother, Wilma Lawrence of Cross Plains; aunts and uncles, Janay Crenshaw (Cody) of Levelland, Monty Parkinson (Robyn) of Levelland, Mendy Parkinson of Lubbock and Lee Roy Lawrence (Crystal) of Anton; and numerous cousins.
The last goodbye is the hardest, but we rest on the fact that he knows his Lord and Savior and was welcomed with open arms into Heaven by grandparents, Melvin and Jan Parkinson; cousin Tayla Parkinson; great grandparents, Gene and Geneva Parkinson, Buford and Dortha Conn, James Lawrence; and uncle, Jake Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Tucker Parkinson Memorial Fund established at all First Bank & Trust locations. Funds will be used to support youth programs and scholarships in the future to honor Tucker.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Mallet Expo Hall. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
