Ty Moorehead Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Home - Pine Bluff on Nov. 7, 2025.
Ty Dion Moorehead, affectionately known as "Lil Ty," was born on June 20, 1989, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, to Willie and Deborah McDonald Moorehead. Raised in a proud military family, Ty experienced the adventure and adaptability that comes with military life.

Ty accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Fort Foote Baptist Church in Fort Washington, Md. His faith remained an important part of his life. Ty continued his walk with Christ at Rock Creek Church in Little Rock, AR.

After high school graduation, Ty perused his passion for music at the Art Institute of Virginia. With a quick wit and natural talent for lyricism, he dreamed of becoming a rap artist. Ty shared his creativity through social media, inspiring many with his vibrant personality and love for the craft.

Ty relocated to Arkansas where he worked diligently as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Known for his lively commentary and friendly spirit, he brought joy to the residents on his route every day.

He loved traveling, cooking Caribbean-inspired dishes, fishing with his father, and bowling-a sport in which he excelled and even joined his father's bowling league.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Willie Moorehead of Pine Bluff, AR, and Deborah McDonald Moorehead of Fort Washington, MD; brothers, Joshua Moorehead of Atlanta, GA, and Justin Moorehead (Nikki) of Washington, DC; nieces, Nicole and Aubree; nephew, Justice; special family friend, Ralph Oliver; a host of loving relatives, friends, and his beloved dog, "Blue".

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Old Saint James Baptist Church, 4512 South Ohio St, Pine Bluff, AR. The family will be available for visitation from 10:00 to 10:55am, followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00am.
