BUTTE - Tye Raphael Battermann, beloved son, father, nephew, brother, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Aug 12, 2022.
Tye was born on December 6, 1992, to Jennifer Lee Battermann and Harold Michael Morgan. Throughout his youth he was active in Boy Scouts and competitive sports. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln Alternative School and then went onto Lincoln Tech where he studied and earned a certificate in Medium and Heavy Duty Diesel Technology. He was an avid diesel engine and motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed turning a wrench on "Fords", of course, going to concerts, and motorcycle runs with his mother. He cherished his family wholeheartedly but nothing made him happier in life than his two sons.
After working as a mechanic he discovered his true calling, core drilling. Tye worked for Harris Exploration Drilling until the time of his death.
Tye is preceeded in death by his father, grandparents, auntie and cousin.
Tye is survived by his children, Lane Michael and Easton Paul, his mother, Jennifer, auntie, Rachael, (Tom), uncle, Joshua, cousins, Pookie, MeMe, Raya, Rueso, and Bubba; brother, Joe Morgan, grandparents, Liz and Gene Spolar, and special mentor and grampa, Melvin Rauch and family.
His infectious laugh, beautiful blue eyes, and witty personality will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service followed by a Celebration of Life organized by the family will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Butte Depot, on 818 S Arizona St., Butte, Montana, 59701. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Tye are suggested to the Copper City Kings Hockey League, 1700 Wall Street, Butte MT 59701.
