Tyler Raden Lewis, 29, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Farmington, New Mexico. Tyler was born on April 14, 1996, to parents Shawnna Nelson and Gary L. Lewis. Tyler was born to Red Running into the water people and born for Bitter water people.
Tyler served in the U.S. Navy from 2015-2025, a year after High School. Tyler also worked for the City of Farmington as a Maintenance Technician. He was an avid Raiders and NY Yankee fan, also gaming and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He also loved to go hunting with his dad and brother Zach when he could.
Tyler always had a gentle soul and a kind heart. He was always willing to listen and tell you “It will be alright”. He was a protector, guide and rescuer at heart.
Tyler is preceded by his brother Cameron C. Nelson.
Tyler is survived by his wife Mariah R. Lewis, parents Shawnna Nelson & Gary L. Lewis, brothers Tobey R. John, and Zachary Lewis, sisters Scylla Benally and Sariah Lewis, grandparents Charlie & Irene Nelson (Maternal), and Lee & Ella Lewis (Paternal).
A Viewing will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache Street, Farmington, NM from 10:30-11:00am, followed by a Service from 11:00-12:00. Burial will take place at Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery at 12:30pm.
Pallbearers to honor Tyler are Tobey John, Diione Lynch, Sonny Nelson, Anthony Henry, DJ Silversmith, RJ, Kasey Benally, and Zachary Lewis.
