Tyler Scott Simpson, 23, of Liberty, husband to Michaela Owens Simpson, passed away February 7, 2024.
Born in Easley, SC, he was the son of Eric and Patricia Murphy Simpson. Tyler graduated from Chattanooga Central High School. He was an avid sports fan, especially Clemson University athletics, the Atlanta Braves, and NASCAR. Tyler enjoyed playing basketball, golf, deer and dove hunting, and he had a great love for being on the water with family and friends. He is a member of Hepsibah Baptist Church and attended The Mill Church. Tyler worked as a chemical operator at Ortec in Pendleton.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his sister, Morgan Hedglin and husband Tyler; paternal grandmother, Peggy Simpson, maternal grandparents, Donnie and Helen Marcengill; aunts and uncles, Mickey Simpson and wife Kim, Natalie Nelson and husband Mark, Denise James and husband Bruce, Bo Murphy and wife Lisa, and Jaime Kelley and husband Brent; mother and father-in-law, Stephen and Alicia Owens; sisters-in-law, Kate Owens and Taylor Owens; and his dogs, Maisy and Emmie.
Tyler was predeceased by his grandfather, Calvin Simpson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Heritage Memorial Gardens, Westminster, SC.
