Tyrell Frank Greek Lyons, age 30 of Blackfoot, ID passed away February 16, 2024 in
Seattle, WA. Born on November 9, 1993 in
Idaho Falls, Idaho to Merrill Frank Lyons of
Keshena, Wisconsin and LLavon Olene Dixey-Gomez of Blackfoot, Idaho.
In the early chapters of Tyrell's life, he reveled in the simple joys of family gatherings and outdoor adventures. From camping under the stars to casting a line for a fish, he embraced nature with a sense of wonder and excitement. His culinary talents shone brightly as he delighted in preparing meals, especially his beloved tamales! Tyrell's artistic flair extended beyond the kitchen, as he found solace in creating intricate beadwork and engaging in friendly gaming sessions with his sister Tia.
Tyrell's formative years were shaped by the loving presence of his great grandmother, Fern Perdash Dixey, whose nurturing guidance played a pivotal role in his upbringing. From his earliest memories, Fern's wisdom and warmth provided a steady foundation for Tyrell's growth and development.
Tyrell graduated from Blackfoot High School. His high school years were marked by a whirlwind of activities and achievements that highlighted his diverse talents and passions. He was a part of the Blackfoot High School Marching Band, Debate Club, and Native American Indian Club. Driven by a love for academia and a thirst for knowledge Tyrell earned a music scholarship to Idaho State University. He played Tuba with the Idaho State University Marching Band.
His infections positivity and unwavering optimism illuminated every moment, making him a source of light and inspiration for all who crossed his path. These painted a portrait of a young man brimming with passion, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life.
Tyrell is survived by his Father Merrill Frank Lyons, Mother LLavon Olene Dixey-Gomez, Sisters: Autum Morning Starr Lyons and Tia Kiarra Lyons (Giovanni Nicolas), Nieces: Napaio Marie Winneshiek, Layla Nakona Rodriguez, Jiren Nephi Rodriguez, and Kenew Red Moon Winneshiek. Maternal Grandma Colleen Dixey-Tillman (Niel Tillman), Aunt Candy Boyd (Dusty Corn) and Uncle John Boyd of
Keshena, Wisconsin.
