Tyrone Jordan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by S.M. Goodson Funeral Homes and Crematory - Talladega on Dec. 26, 2025.
Mr. Tyrone "Tiger" Marcell Jordan was born September 1, 1971 to the union of Lenora Hamm and Theodus Jordan in Birmingham, Alabama. His father James Arthur Orr preceded him in death. He was a happy bouncing baby boy that brought joy to the Hamm, Jordan, and Orr families. He grew up surrounded in love in a trifecta of families committed to his development as a young man and journey to love God.

James Orr and Lenora Hamm reunited and moved their young family to Yonkers, New York. During this time Mr. Jordan grew and attended school in the Yonkers School System. He developed a love for soccer, music, and breakdancing. Mr. Jordan attended and graduated from Pell City High School in 1989 after his family relocated to Pell City, AL. He enjoyed playing the tuba in the PCHS Marching Band, Varsity Football , and working at various part time jobs in Pell City. He attended Gadsden Community College and eventually continued his industrial career at BAMA Plastics and Vulcan Industries. He retired from Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (AAP) after a successful 20 year career in automobile manufacturing.

Mr. Jordan was a quiet young man who fiercely loved his family and that included his favorite neighborhood cousins: the Forman and Beavers families. He was an avid college football fan and meticulously documented each season of his favorite University of Alabama "Crimson Tide".

Tyrone accepted Christ as his savior and served faithfully in his youth at the Freewill Church of God in Christ - Pell City in the choir and youth department. His approach to life was always led by a quiet reflection on what was right and dutiful. He was a man of few words, but he lived life on his own terms. He left the peaceful life he chose and fulfilled his mission on this earth to life eternal.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted mother, Lenora Orr Godwin (Elder John Godwin); father, Reverend Dr. Theodus Jordan; loving sister, Latoya (Eric) Orr Threatt; special Aunt, Willene (Ollis) Forman; aunts, Lattie Orr, Sarah Elston, and Verma Dell Chatman; uncles, Tommy Ham, Reverend Alphonso Jordan, Hughie Oden, and Reverend Ralph (Donna) Jordan; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
