Ulrike Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Aug. 1, 2024.
JACKSONVILLE - Ulrike Eisler, 64, of Jacksonville passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was born in Kampala, Uganda February 23, 1960 to Dieter and Doris Eisler (Hauser) and big brother Jörg. She was a true "Der Fröhliche Wanderer" who grew up in Vöhringen and Günzburg, Germany. After marrying, she and her three children Jan, Julia and Stefan came to live in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in 1992 and Fort Lewis, Washington in 1997. She dedicated 30 years to serving the Armed Forces as a Director of Child Services, which she loved. After her travels here and there and everywhere, she settled down in Jacksonville, North Carolina; close to the beach, one of her favorite places!
Ulrike is survived by her big brother Jörg and her three children Jan, Julia and Stefan. She is also survived by six precious grandchildren: Marcus, Sofia, Kaiya, Tristan, Robert and Sicily.
Let it be said that Ulrike was truly "Der Fröhliche Wanderer" who at the end of her journey accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and went home to him in the self-same day. May God almighty bless all those who believe. Romans 10:9
A service for Ulrike will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Centerview Baptist Church, 1165 Piney Green Road, Jacksonville, NC. All family, friends and wanderers welcome to celebrate in colorful clothes and spirit, as she WOULD wish. Bright clothing please. Let's Celebrate Ulrike's life together to the glory of her savior Jesus Christ.

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Johnson´s passing. She was such a genuine soul and everyone that was able to know her was blessed to do such. She always had a smile on her face and made sure to make those around her smile as well. I loved seeing her multiple times a week when she would bring her dog, Jack, into doggy daycare where I work. Man how she loved that sweet boy. One year for Christmas, she brought us a goody basket with all sorts of German chocolates and goodies.... Ms. Johnson loved to spoil us from time to time . She will surely be missed by all of us at doggy daycare that got to talk to her so often. Wishing peace and comfort to her family in this very difficult time.
