We are so sorry to hear of Uma's death. She has always been so sweet to Anjuli and I at SILC. Anjuli is away at school but she asked me to pass along her condolences. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Uma and I will truly miss her. She taught me alot and i always enjoyed our conversations. She would always ask how my kids are doing and ask me how i am doing.
Uma was my rock and my heart goes to you and the rest of the family.

Gupthan, I can't find the words to express to you how very sorry I am for your loss. Reading the memories of those that your wife touched is such a special gift. She touched so many lives and was loved by so many. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Goodbye, dear Uma. I will miss seeing you at the Festival of Nations. I so enjoyed watching you and your group dance. We were buddies during Lab Week that one year when we both dressed in ethnic costumes. And we had some nice talks over the years. I will miss your smile and your sparkling eyes. Sincere condolences to your family. I hope that remembering the happy times together will sustain them at this time of losing you. You were a precious gem of a lady.

A woman born in India
was my best friend.
What we had in common...
big hearts and good ears.
Both always willing to listen
when the other needed a hand.
Now there's a hole in my heart
where she should be.
Gone too soon, why did this happen?
A beautiful life over in its prime.
The lives she touched, she may never know.
Yet, all who knew her were blessed.
My only consolation now,
I know she's with her Dad.
I can't believe she's gone,
but she looked at peace and content
I wish I could hold her hand,
give her a hug, instead of feeling so sad.
All I can say is,
goodbye to my best friend
someday I'll see you again.
