Umberto Gaudino

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Umberto Gaudino on November 4, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 29, 1956, in Pozzuoli, Italy to the late Francesco and Concetta Gaudino, Umberto had a passionate spirit, love for family, and flair for life that he was determined to share with the rest of the world. Umberto, a devoted husband, father, Nonno, brother, and friend to everyone he met, left his mark on the restaurant business beginning in 1979 in New Jersey. Spanning 6 decades, multiple restaurant locations, and a move from New Jersey to Florida, he continued to share his passion for food with countless smiling patrons. He is most recently remembered as "The Pizza Man" at Carmine's.
Umberto was a man who embraced life fully. He found immense joy in the company of his children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment that he spent with them. His home was often filled with the aroma of his cooking. His meals were always prepared with passion, laughter, of course, the secret ingredient was love. Known for his culinary talents, Umberto's food became a source of connection and celebration for those who knew him. His kitchen was not just a place to cook, but a gathering space where stories were told and memories made.
Umberto shared a special bond with his wife, Jennifer, married for 15 years and together for 25. They enjoyed travel and cruises, creating lasting memories together across oceans and continents. Their adventures were marked by joy and companionship, reflecting the deep affection they held for one another.
Umberto is survived by his loving wife Jennifer; six children: Frank of Jupiter, FL; Melissa of Cherry Hill, NJ; Tino and wife Beth of Port St. Lucie, FL; John of Stuart, FL; Michael of Stuart, FL; and Joshua of Lake Worth, FL; five grandchildren: Jackson, Gianluca, Parker, Rosalee, and Lilly; He leaves behind his brother and best friend, Federico and wife Mery of Juno Beach, FL, He was preceded in death by his beloved brother Salvatore.
Umberto's legacy lives on through the meals he lovingly prepared, the laughter he inspired, and the family he held so dearly. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Carmine's La Trattoria, 2401 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410.
