Una Hogan McClure, age 95, of Searcy, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2024. She was born December 6, 1928, in the Olmstead community (N. Pulaski County) to Otis and Oma Toney Hogan.
She married her high school sweetheart Frank McClure on March 19, 1948. They had an exciting life together for over 76 years. They loved to travel after their retirement, especially by motor coach and car. Their travels took them to all 50 states, and they also visited all the Canadian provinces and went on cruises to Alaska, Mexico and the Bahama Islands.
In 1979 Una and Frank moved to the country and lived in the area where Una had grown up. After more than thirty years on the farm, they felt it was time to sell out and move closer to their family. In 2010 they bought a house in Searcy, Arkansas.
Una worked at various jobs in her lifetime and retired from the North Little Rock Housing Authority as an Apartment Manager for more than twenty years. She liked to garden and dabbled in oil painting. She liked to cook for her family and friends, and enjoyed playing table games (Dominoes Etc.) Una was active in church all her life, most recently Valley Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Hogan (Marlene) and Toney Hogan (Robbie); and two sisters, Edna Weeks (Floyd) and Wilma Harrell (Bill); and son-in-law Ricky Reid.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; children Pam Reid of Searcy, Stan (Myung) of Irving, Texas; five grandchildren, Natalie (James), Christina (Clint), Nicole (Rick), Blaire (Henry) and Sam; six great grandchildren, Cole (Anna), Josie, Samantha, Bella, Everett and Silas; as well as one great-great grandchild, Colter.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Tonya, Lenetta, Brenda, and Lisa for care they provided Una during her illness.
