Mrs. Ursula Mary Pierce

Ursula M Pierce, La Jolla California died March 18, 2014. She was the daughter of the late James and Grace (Cannon) Fox of Hazleton Pennsylvania. Her husband, Dr. Wilmot Pierce U.S. Navy retired, preceded her in death. Ursula graduated from Hazleton State Hospital with a R.N. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master of Education from Loyola University, Chicago. She was in the Navy Nurse Corps from 1943 to 1965. She was a member of Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in La Jolla, and a member of our Ladies Guild and a Lady of Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and a Eucharistic minister. She is survived by her niece Maureen Racho, nephews James J Loftus M.D. and attorney John Loftus. A mass will be celebrated at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1PM. Burial will be at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery
