In Loving Memory of Vaijayanti Tungare (nee Patankar)
October 12, 1954 – November 6, 2025
Vaijayanti Tungare passed away on November 6, 2025, leaving behind a life defined by love, dedication, and strength. Born in India on October 12, 1954, she touched the lives of everyone around her through her compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to family.
Vaijayanti was the devoted wife of the late Ajit Tungare, her partner in life and love until his passing in September 2017. Their bond was characterized by mutual support, warmth, and deep companionship - a foundation she carried with her for the rest of her years.
She is survived by her two younger brothers, Rajesh and Gautam Patankar, who will forever hold dear the memories of her guidance, her laughter, and her nurturing presence. Vaijayanti also leaves behind her loving nephews and nieces, Aneesh and Sohil Patankar, Priya Pradhan, and Ajay and Melissa Tungare each of whom she cared for with great affection and pride, as well as sisters-in-law Rupa and Preeta Patankar, Alka Pradhan, and Vidhya Tungare and brothers-in-law Shrikant Pradhan and Sandeep Tungare.
Family was always at the center of Vaijayanti's world. She was known for creating a home filled with comfort, hospitality, and tradition - a place where loved ones felt welcomed and cherished. Her kindness, her strength, and her innate ability to make others feel supported will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though she faced life's challenges with grace, Vaijayanti's spirit remained steady and resilient. Her legacy lives on in the relationships she built, the love she shared, and the countless moments of warmth she offered to family and friends.
Reunited now with her beloved Ajit, may Vaijayanti rest peacefully. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
