MENRATH, Valentine. Age 88, passed away on November 27, 2021. Valentine was born on August 30, 1933 in Franztahl, Yugoslavia to the late Nikolaus and Theresia Menrath (nee: Burger). Valentine worked at Combine Tool & Die for 34 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Olga (nee: Kryczkowski); children Stephen Menrath (Debbi) and Monica Soehren (Jack); proud Opa to Stephanie Cloos (Stephen), Samantha Keller (John), Shannon Lickner (Rob), Stephen Menrath (Samantha), Nicklaus Soehren, Ryan Soehren and Emily Soehren; proud Great Opa to Carson, Landon, Madison, Ava and Alivia; loving brother of Theresia Dunn (the late Leonard); uncle to many nieces and nephews. Valentine was preceded in death by his parents Nikolaus and Theresia Menrath; siblings Anna Linzner (the late Karl), Lorenz Menrath (the late Elizabeth) and Nikolaus Menrath; loving son Valentine Menrath. Instate Saturday 9am until time of 9:30am Mass at St. Blase Catholic Church, 12151 15 Mile Rd. (E. of Dodge Park), Sterling Heights. Inurnment, Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are appreciated to Heartland Hospice or the National Kidney Foundation. Please share memories with the family at their online guestbook at
