Valentine Pina, Jr., age 73 of Taunton, passed away at Brockton Veterans Medical Center on November 24, 2025.
He was the husband of Cynthia L.A. (Nason) Pina.
Born in Plymouth, MA he was the son of the late Valentine Sr. and Annie (Andrews) Pina.
Val was a member of the American Legion where he was former Sgt at Arms at post 405 Mill St. Raynham American Legion. He was a Union laborer in Taunton local 876 for many years. He was known around town for selling fresh seafood. He enjoyed watching western movies and relaxing with his pugs.
Besides his beloved wife Cynthia of 22 years, he is survived by his children; Julia Westgate and husband Kevin, Eric Moore and wife Sophanet, Amanda Moore and fiance John Horrigan, siblings; Dorothy Hughes, Michael Pina, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was the grandfather of the late Derek Plante-Westgate.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 11, 2026.
